The Haven Sydney, a boutique hair salon and makeup studio along Parramatta Road in Leichhardt, provides multiple services for clients looking for a fresh haircut, balayage, all over hair colour, or hairstyle and makeup for the perfect event. 
We understand getting your hair and makeup done is more than just sitting in a chair. We want our clients to be empowered to make a statement to the world. We do this by spending time and have an honest and open chat to work out the service that best suit one's individuality.
It is also a safe space for hair and beauty professionals to co-create and deliver great customer experiences for their clients by having shared space that is flexible and welcoming.
The Haven Sydney opened its doors to clients and creatives alike in January 2021.

The Haven Sydney aims to be a conduit between creative minded hair and beauty professionals with like-minded customers of who wants to look and feel good inside and outside by fostering a culture of inclusivity.

Founder / Creative Director

Carl is a highly qualified hairdresser with experience in the hair industry spanning across 3 decades, ranging from working in a salon to freelancing in the fashion industry as a stylist. He trained and worked with some of the most talented and award-winning hairdressers, makeup artists and fashion stylists in the UK and Australia gaining experience from hair shows, fashion and editorial work.

His philosophy is that clients should feel like themselves everyday. Hair styling and cutting should add confidence and beauty by amplifying someone’s natural features.  He is renowned for his unique hair colouring technique, particularly for creating hair transformations by building from the client’s base colour and working through the rest by translating his knowledge of colour correction, tinting and lifting into  effortless chic hair colour goals.  


In recent years he has added to non-surgical hair loss replacement to his specialisation gaining experience from leading hair replacement studios in Australia. He combined the art of hair styling and cutting with the precise nature of hair replacement techniques to give all clients the renewed but natural looking hair pieces that suits the individual’s needs and personality.


His main goal every day is to make every client feel they have control over how they look. He strives to do his best with every client by giving them the chance to be their best selves everyday.

At The Haven Sydney, we pride ourselves on quality work, quality products and a highly trained team. We provide thorough consultations prior to your service, and we endeavour to ensure all clients leave the salon 100% satisfied. However, if you find that you are unhappy with the result, we will redo your hair at no extra charge. This is strictly within 7 days of your visit. This does not apply to change of mind as this will be charged. We also pride ourselves on being as a sustainable salon and use the highest quality professional low tox and sustainable products on market.  In order to stand over our work clients must agree to proper after care and be using products recommended by their stylist.

We do not provide refunds of any kind however if a product is faulty then we will exchange it. This does not apply to electricals such as styling irons and tools. The brands warranty is provided directly, and they can't be exchanged in the salon. We will be happy to help you correspond directly with each brand.

The Haven Sydney fully adheres to the Privacy Act 1988. The Privacy Act contains a set of standards for the handling of your personal information known as the National Privacy Principles (NPPs). We will never share your private information with any individual or company unless were permitted or required to by law.
Anyone who signs up to text reminders in the salon or by providing their information on our website either via online booking our contact us forms agrees to receive marketing communication via text and email.  If at any stage, you want to opt out please get in contact with us immediately and we will rectify this for you.

We ask that all guests and clients respect the privacy of our staff members and not make any contact with them voa social media. Staff are also required to adhere to this policy and are required to not accept friend requestsm0r communicate with clients via social media.  if you need to contact the salon after ours or wish to enquire, we kindly request that you contact us vai our email, website, official Instagram or Facebook.

We love to show your beautiful results and by allowing us to take photos of your hair you are sonsenting for these images to be used for our marketing and social media.  If you do not want your photos on social media please let your stylist know.

Booking Fee
We may require a booking fee at the time of making an appointment. This booking fee can be paid via direct transfer to our bank account or card payment over the phone.  The booking fee is non-refundable however it can be used towards any service or product in salon. Existing clients with a no show or cancellation history will also be required to pay the full amount of any booking in advance.

Cancellations & Late Arrivals

We understand that sometimes you need to change your appointment. To avoid any inconvenience, we kindly ask that you give us 48 hours’ notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will lose their booking fee. If you reschedule with more than 48 hours notice your booking fee will be transferred to your new booking if the booking is within 4 weeks of the original appointment. We send appointment confirmations 48 hours in advance of your appointment to ensure you have enough time to move or cancel your appointment if required, These are sent via text, and email however, it is ultimately your responsibility to remember your appointment date and time.
No shows and last minute cancellations hurt our business as, without providing us with enough notice, we are unable to offer your appointment to other guests on our If you are running late, please call us straight away to let us know and be prepared that we may not be able to perform the full service you were booked in for. We will try to accommodate you the best we can but please understand that we need to run on time to avoid inconveniencing our other appointments.
No-show appointments will not be booked in again without full prepayment of their service. This is non-refundable in the event of another no show or if you are running too late for us to perform your service.

Salon pricing is set for each service. You will be charged for each service carried out on the day. For accurate pricing please request a complimentary in salon consultation or ask your stylist for a quote before we begin. We will try to give you the look you desire whilst working within your budget.

As a courtesy to other salon guests, and in our efforts to offer a relaxed and professional atmosphere we ask that you are aware that it is your responsibility to always watch your children while in the salon. This is also in the interest of their safety.

Please also note that personal items are always the responsibility of the client. We do not accept responsibility for any items lost in the salon.

Payment for all services can be made by cash, EFTPOS, Visa and MasterCard will incur a 1.5% surcharge. AMEX will incur a 3% surcharge.

When attending your appointment please wear appropriate clothing, nothing of high value, as items of clothing can get damaged during the process. We will not be held liable for any damages to clothing. We pride ourselves on offering “the best salon”, and these policies have been put in place to ensure everything runs smoothly and you enjoy your total The Haven Sydney Salon experience.
